Representation matters! For all the aspiring brown-skinned ballerinas out there who dream of tapping into their inner princess, this is for you. A coloring book filled with positive self-affirmations along with original princesses that reflect the beauty of the African diaspora.
LaPrincess Entertainment Group presents “Introducing the Princesses of Vanity Lane” a ballerina coloring and self-affirmation picture book with the hopes of providing positive images of blacks in ballet. This coloring and self-affirmation picture book introduces ElectrKPrincess and princesses from the original ballet and fairytale, Vanity Lane. Vanity Lane is an original fairytale featuring diverse princesses from the African diaspora and tells the story of ElectrKPrincess’s journey of self-love and acceptance. Each princess reflects their own cultural identity and represents their kingdoms from 6 different realms. Each sketch is accompanied by positive affirmations that encourage us to find the beauty within. Vanity Lane is a special fairytale for girls who are real princesses on the inside and love to dance!
Founder La'Toya Princess Jackson is a classically trained ballerina and writer of songs, ballets, and plays who has worked as a professional in the ballet industry for the Boston Ballet and the Atlanta Ballet.
